History of Pakistani poetry
In Pakistan there almost people are from Muslim religion. Most of the Pakistani poetries are written in Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi, Pushto, Persian, Baluchi and English also. Pakistanis followed a different kind of tradition and culture and there poetry also explains their tradition literary tradition, etc. The bets known Urdu poets are from Pakistan like Sajjad zaheer, Rashid jahan, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Sahir ludhianvi, etc.
Pakistani poetry follow the rule of tradition poetry but from 1947 the approach towards Pakistani poetry and change to modernism. Pakistani poets faced many difficulties because the government of Pakistan ordered some severe restrictions to write Pakistani poetry. The political rulers ordered that if anybody wants to write poetry they can but subject must be in behalf of Pakistani religion and their politicians but now the whole situation changes many Pakistani poets wrote different poems in different subject and language.
The Muhammad Iqbal the national poet of Pakistan, who only concentrate to write in Islamic philosophy and he is only specializing in Persian and Urdu poetry. Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Sufi shah Abdul Latif is also the most famous poet in Pakistan. Sufi shah’s poetries are really awesome and outstanding. Sufi poetry is not only famous in Pakistan but also in world wide. In Pakistan and India, poetry is also known as shayari. Several Pakistani poets are using Punjabi languages too for their poetry. In Pakistani poetry there are different variety collections of poems are available like sad Urdu poetry, mohabat shayari, dosti shayari, funny Urdu poetry, love Urdu poetry and much more.
