Walk in tubs Scene nod - Hit me High
I worked as a movie set designer and the stress is almost as high as mountains. You have to come up with several designs so that it will be appropriate to every scene and you should mind even the smallest details of it. One of the memorable scenes which won a nod from the Academy was the walk in bathtubs scene. It was actually a serene, perfect cinematography wherein if you are just a moviegoer it’s nothing outstanding from it. But if you are a movie critic and knows the technicalities of the film you could really appreciate that even if the actor is not enunciating a single word but her performance plus the things surrounds her make it more outstanding. It was beautifully executed and the director really captured the scene with perfection.
Our director was so happy for I was able to make a name for myself. I never thought that the idea of having a walk in tubs will pave way for me to have several projects after. I was instantaneously became the “it” man for production design.
