My sister had vinyl windows installed in her older home that was built in the late 1800’s. She found out that you could earn an energy tax rebate by replacing your windows so she decided to do it. She said that the old windows were too drafty and made the house look old.

Some of the old windows were too hard to open or did not even open at all. I asked her if it had been very expensive to put in the vinyl windows and she said no. In fact if she had known about the energy tax rebate sooner, she would have done it a long time ago. She had thought that it would be expensive so she had put it off for a long time. Now she thinks that she could have saved a lot of money on energy bills if she had put in the vinyl windows sooner. I let her know that the house looked beautiful and she thanked me and said that a lot of her neighbors have commented on the house too.

A few of them have even asked her about the company that put them in and when they do, she tells them about the energy tax rebate. She could not believe that more people did not know about it.
