Used Iseries Servers Were Smart Choice
When we had to replace our servers in the office, we decided to just buy used iseries servers to save money. I knew that at least four companies in our building alone had bought used iseries servers when their old ones had stopped working. You have to be smart when it comes to saving money is what the owner upstairs always says.
I checked out some used bladecenter servers to be sure that they were not a better deal. My brothers company had bought a used bladecenter about a year ago, and he said that it works great and they got it for a great price. If it was comparable to the used iseries but cost less, then I thought that maybe we should reconsider our decision.
After comparing both of the servers, I figured that we might as well just stick with the used iseries that was our original decision anyway. I placed the order and paid the extra shipping and handling charge to have it sent overnight so we could have it installed over the coming weekend and hopefully up and running by Monday.
It turned out to be a really good choice to put in the used iseries servers over the weekend because it took them about thirty six hours to get everything switched over and working orderly.
